I am an Associate Professor at the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies (SISLT) at the University of Missouri – Columbia (MU). My teaching and research focus broadly encompasses constraints on information flow, including aspects of information policy, history, and related social and technological phenomena. I have focused especially on the public’s access to information and co-developed a public library leadership program (PuLL) that emphasizes community and professional immersion. Prior to entering academia, I held positions in public and academic library settings, and as a software analyst for the MOBIUS Consortium Office. I hold degrees in Archaeology (B.A.), Library Science (M.A.), and Information Science (PhD) from the University of Missouri.
Outside of work, I enjoy puttering around my house, reading, traveling, cooking, yoga, and running.
