I am an Associate Professor at the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies (SISLT) at the University of Missouri – Columbia (MU). My teaching and research focus broadly encompasses public libraries, information policy, history of libraries and information, and related social and technological phenomena. I have focused especially on the public’s access to information. I co-developed a public library leadership program that emphasizes community and professional immersion and am currently working on an interdisciplinary team to revitalize the iSchool's health librarianship program. Prior to entering academia, I held positions in public and academic library settings, and with the MOBIUS Consortium Office. I hold degrees in Archaeology (B.A.), Library Science (M.A.), and Information Science (PhD) from the University of Missouri.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, yoga, and outdoor activities. |
